God called one of his most faithful servants, Ethelyn McNeal Norman, home to be with him and the loved ones who went on before. She was united with her parents, J.O. and Vera McNeal, sister, Florence McNeal Youmans, brothers, W.E. (Billy) and Felton McNeal and her beloved husband, the Rev. Joe Norman. What rejoicing there was.
Mrs. Norman was born August 26, 1923 and was a member of First Baptist Church of Hazlehurst. She was retired from Bell South Telephone and served as a dedicated preacher’s wife for many years. She will be remembered for her sweet, kind and loving ways. She was certainly a role model worth patterning after.
Mrs. Norman leaves to cherish her memory a host of friends and family. A sister-in-law, Noni McNeal; many nieces and nephews of which she was closest to Kay and Ronnie Harrell and Maxie Jo and Norman Johnson. A special thanks to caregivers, Anelda Butler, Pam Harrell, Nancy Jackson, Winifred Nails, Barbara Walters, Glenda Waters and Susan Smith.
Funeral Services were held Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Hazlehurst First Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Wigley and the Rev. Rick Brown officiating. Interment followed in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
