June 22, over the last few weeks several burglaries have occurred throughout the county. The county responded to a residence on Sandhill Road and East River Road as well at the Nature Conservancy. A selection of chainsaws, guns, boat motor, and a leaf blower were taken. Further investigation revealed that Christopher Owen Byrne, 28, of Baxley, and Christopher Michael Moore, 29, of Baxley, was involved. Byrne was arrested and charged with theft by taking and burglary. Moore was arrested and charged with theft by taking. They are currently being held in the county jail.
June 22, answered a call to McDaniel Road in reference to threats. The complainant stated known offender kept calling making threats. The complainant was advised to see the magistrate.
June 22, answered a call to Wright Drive in reference to a theft. A complainant stated known offender(s) stole a cell phone and a TV from her residence. Investigation continues.
June 22, answered a call to Ricardo Street in reference to entering an auto. A complainant stated person(s) unknown entered his vehicle and stole a gun. Investigation continues.
June 22, a routine traffic stop on Crosby Chapel Church Road resulted in the arrest of Cameron Brannen, 21, of Baxley, Joshua Garcia, 20, of Baxley, and Metz Davidson II, 24, of Baxley. Brannen, Garcia, and Davidson were all charged with drug related objects and possession of marijuana.
June 22, answered a call to Highway 203 in reference to damage to vehicle. The complainant stated a pine tree limb fell from a tree causing damage to her hood.
June 23, answered a call to Satilla Church Road in reference to damage to property. A complainant stated known offender came to his residence and busted out a window and later returned and knocked the air conditioner out the window. The complainant was advised to see the magistrate.
June 23, answered a call to East River Road in reference to a theft. The complainant stated person(s) unknown stole a two chainsaws and a leaf blower. Investigation continues.
June 23, answered a call to McClure Lane in reference to harassment. The complainant stated known offender continues to call her and harass her. The complainant was advised to see the magistrate.
June 23, answered a call to Arbor Drive in reference to a fight. A complainant stated known offender came to his residence and jumped on him along with three unknown offenders. The complainant was advised to see the magistrate.
June 24, a routine traffic stop on Buckhead Road resulted in the arrest of Patrick Beaver, 44, of Florida. Beaver was charged with D.U.I., failure to maintain lane and possession of marijuana.
June 24, a routine traffic stop on Satilla Church Road resulted in the arrest of William Ed Gibbs, 47, of Baxley. Gibbs was charged with D.U.I. and open container in vehicle.
June 25, answered a call to Alvin Moody Road in reference to a vehicle fire. A complainant stated he drove the vehicle and then when he returned a short time later he realized the vehicle was burning.
June 25, a routine traffic stop on Holmesville Road resulted in the arrest of David Earl Williams, Jr., 49, of Baxley. Williams was charged with D.U.I. and brake lights required.
June 27, answered a call to Quincy Lane in reference to a burglary. A complainant stated she heard her back door being unlocked and she then looked out the window and saw an unknown person running toward the woods. Investigation continues.
June 27, answered a call to Ernest Kesler Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated person(s) unknown took her meter box. Investigation continues.
June 27, answered a call to Gardenia Circle in reference to a theft. The complainant stated person(s) unknown stole her money and her keys. Investigation continues.
June 29, answered a call to Morris Landing Road in reference to damage to property. A complainant stated person(s) unknown damaged a four-wheeler by cutting the ignition wires and light wires. Investigation continues.
June 28, answered a call to Midway Church Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated person(s) unknown came into her residence and took all her clothes. Investigation continues.
June 30, answered a call to Ezra Lane in reference to a theft. A complainant stated that known offenders stole several rolls of wire from her residence. The investigation continues.
June 30, answered a call to Satilla Church Road in reference to a theft. A complainant stated known offender stole $1,500.00 from her pocketbook. The complainant was advised to see the magistrate.
June 30, answered a call to Highway 203 in reference to an assault. The complainant stated the offender jumped on him and bit him. The complainant was advised to see the magistrate.
