• The second reading of an ordinance annexing property filed by Juan J. Diaz as owner and Tobias Montano as tenant under contract to purchase, located at 770 Harry Street establishing a Business Residential (BR-1) Zone in voting District #4, then amended to District #3.
• The second reading of an ordinance to rezone property owned by Joel Gregory Herrin located at 549 Tippins Street from the present Residential (RM-10) to Business (B-2) Zone.
• One new water/sewer discount application
• The first reading of the ordinance to annex property owned by Heath Sellers of Sellers Electrical Contracting, Inc. requesting his property located at 1383 Golden Isles West be annexed and establishing a Business (B-2) Zone.
• The first reading of the ordinance to rezone property filed by Joseph W. Faircloth, requesting his property located at 803 West Parker Street be rezoned from the current Residential (RM-10) to a Business (B-2) Zone.
No questions or comments were received from the public at the February 9 called meeting on the Sellers and Faircloth petitions.
• To hold a called meeting on March 8 at 6:00 p.m. for the primary purpose of holding two public hearings:
1. J.W. Murray, requesting his property located 181 Bay Street be rezoned from the present Residential (RM-10) to a Professional (P-1) Zone.
2. Douglas Doyle, Executor, filed on Estate of Winnie Doyle, requesting the property located at 572 Tippins Street be zoned from the present Residential (RM-10) to a Business (B-2) Zone.
• To authorize Mayor Rigdon to execute documents from GMA restating the define contribution plan to comply with federal mandated guidelines.
• To approve the low bid from Knight’s Saw in the amount of $11,137.00 for one lawnmower.
• To adopt a resolution on March 20 recognizing Rachel Missionary Baptist Church as members celebrate its 150th Church Anniversary. Discussion followed with Mayor Pro-tem Dr. Esco Hall proposed placing an ad in the paper because they have always done so for the NAACP. City Manager Jeff Baxley cautioned that it may set a precedence in which you would have to do so for every church in the county or city.
