Miles-Nobles Funeral Home and Crematory announces the funeral services for John Lawrence Futch, age 49, who passed away Friday, November 6, 2015 at South East Georgia Healthcare Systems from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was a native of Punta Gorda, FL living in Appling County for the past ten years and a Grade Foreman with Poppell-Eller in Brunswick. He was a loving husband, father, papa and son.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Marks and in-laws, Ralph and Serena Rentz.
Survivors include his wife, Lori Rentz Futch of Surrency; one son, James Schul and wife, Constance of Hazlehurst; five daughters, Ashley Nunns and husband, Drew of North Fort Myers, FL, Victoria Perez and husband, Gabriel of Surrency, Sherry Goode and husband, Steven of Surrency, Katie Lauren Futch and fiancé, Justin King of Arcadia, FL and Mary Beth Futch of Surrency; ten grandchildren, Meia Sanders, Aaliyah Perez, Jesyina Perez, Hayden Perez, Harmony Perez, Jordon Goode, Caleb Schul, Hannah Hester, Nathan Ostrander and Clinton Jeep; parents, Richard and Arlene Futch of Baxley; two brothers, Wesley Wayne Futch and wife, Judy of West Virginia and Donald Arthur Futch of Baxley; one special brother in-law, William Rentz; one sister, Connie Lynn Scott of Northport, FL; one special fur baby; Roxie; several nieces, nephews and other family also survive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 10, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Memorial Freewill Baptist Church with the Reverend Karl Sexton and the Reverend Jonathan Mann officiating.
Interment followed in the Memorial Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation was held Monday, November 9, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Active pallbearers were Kelly Turner, William Rentz, David Layport, Damien Futch, Elvie Stone, Rusty Howard, Gabriel Perez and Justin King.
Honorary pallbearers were Steven Goode and the employees of Poppell-Eller.
