Lucy Alice Green, 82, of Nicholls, died suddenly Monday September 7, 2015 in Ft. Myers, FL. She was a native of Bacon County, daughter of the late David C. Taylor and Alif Sweat Taylor and was also preceded in death by her husband, John Green, two brothers, Floyd Taylor and Freddie Taylor and a sister, Ola B. Mullis. Lucy was a member of the Nicholls Baptist Church, the Georgia Retired Educators Association and W. O. W.
Survivors include a son, John Larry Green of Nicholls; two daughters, Mary Alice Green Landmon (Jerry) of Baxley and Leah Green Dombrowski (Jonathan) of Oregon, Ohio; two brothers, Doyle Taylor of Ocala, FL and Jerry D. Taylor of Alma; a sister, Doris Bagley of Waynesville; six grandchildren, Apryl Woods of Japan, Jessica Colson of Baxley, Sarah Todd of Baxley, Erica Haefche of Reston, VA, Taylor Arnold of Waycross and Jeff Dombrowski of Toledo, Ohio.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 3:00 o’clock at the Nicholls Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Campbell and the Rev. Daniel Harris officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery in Alma. The family received friends at the funeral home Friday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. The body was carried to the church Saturday at 2:00 o’clock to lie in state.
Active pallbearers were, Larry Green, Hilton Smith, Austin Whitaker, Josh Ellis, Eddie Davis, Jason Mancil and Billy Mac Dyal.
Honorary were Nicholls Baptist Church Adult Sunday School Class and Louella Wooden.
Crosby Funeral Home was in charge of all the arrangements.
