Newspaper to go to 75¢ per copy

Editor and Publisher Jamie Gardner has announced that the price of The Baxley News-Banner will go to 75¢ per copy starting with the July 6 issue.

“We’ve held off as long as we can,” said Gardner about the decision. “The News-Banner is probably one of the last in the state to increase the price of single-copy sales. This increase is the result of inflated newsprint costs that have soared over the past few years,” he added.
