William David “Bill” Black, 75, of Baxley, died Thursday, December 11, 2014. Black was born November 5, 1939 in South Carolina to the late Thomas David Black and the late Ruth Alma Brinson Black. He was a member of Harvest Chapel and retired from IBEW Local 508 Savannah.
Survivors include his wife, Brenda Black of Baxley; two brothers, Wayne King Black of Savannah and Charles Loren Black of Thunderbolt; mother-in-law, Anne Smith of Titusville, Florida and several nieces and nephews also survive.
The funeral service was held Saturday, December 13 at 11:00 a.m. from Harvest Chapel with Pastor Agnes Sellers, Pastor David Knight and Bishop Randy Sellers officiating. Interment was in Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Greg Thomas, Ricky Thomas, Keith Thomas, Richard Rainwater, Lewis White and Steve Craven.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the funeral service.
Musical selections were rendered by Bishop Randy Sellers and Steve Aycock.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
