Lillie Bell Nail Peacock, 99, of Fernandina Beach, Florida, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Peacock was born October 23, 1914 in Baxley to the late Abner Mitchell Nail and the late Lula Carter Nail. She was the owner and operator of Pete’s Nursery in Jacksonville, Florida. Peacock was a loving mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Monroe Peacock, Sr.
Survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Faye Carter of Fernandina Beach, FL and two sons, Lewis Monroe Peacock, Jr. of Brunswick and William Ellis Peacock of Coral Springs, FL; eleven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and twelve great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held Friday, September 19, beginning at 12:00 at Friendship Congregational Christian Church.
A Graveside service followed at 1:00 p.m. in the Baxley Graveyard Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Teutsch officiating.
Music was by Floyd Hunter.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
I am so sorry to hear of your moms passing. Hopefully the great memories of her will help heal the emptiness.

She was one of my very favorite aunts and I will always remember her as a very kind and gracious lady.
