The Appling County Heritage Center will hold its regular support meeting on Sunday, June 5 at 3:00 p.m. at the center. The winners of the eighth grade essay contest will be on hand to read their essays.
The topic this year was “Baxley, Georgia, The Turpentine Capital of the World: Truth or Fiction.”

The Heritage Center would like to commend all students who participated in this project, for a job well done.
First place went to Taylor Herrington, Cody Thornton, placed second, and third place winner was Kasey Jones.
