On Thursday, August 21 the first Open House and walk-through was held at the recently renovated home of the Pirates, Jimmy Swain Stadium. During the walk-through visitors were able to view the new home and vistor entrances, new field house with new home and vistor locker rooms and the new bathrooms throughout the facility.
An update was also given on a new video playback scoreboard that is scheduled to be installed within the first two to three weeks of the new Pirate football season. Information was also shared that there are plans to bring back the historic ‘Pirate Cannon’ this season with more information to be shared at a later time. Another ribbon cutting is scheduled to take place before the Pirates contest this Friday, August 29 against Wayne County. Pictured above are those in attendance visiting the Pirates new locker room.
