Paula Claxton of Hazlehurst and Ricky Kirkland of Williston, Florida are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Kellie Kirkland Wright, to T. J. Bowen, son of Karen and Tommy Bowen of Baxley.
The couple wed on Saturday, July 26, during a beautiful lakeside ceremony, which was officiated by the Rev. Kelly Anderson, uncle of the bride.
The bride, wearing an ivory strapless chapel-length gown, was escorted down the aisle by her brother, Kyle Taylor. She was preceded by three beautiful flower girls: Kynlie Wright, Allie Reagin, and Sawyer Taylor, along with Bowen Reagin carrying the traditional ring pillow. Attendants were Kyla Hand, Kai Hughes, Will Burnette, and Zack Newham, all of Hazlehurst, with Chandler Wise of Douglas and Eric Hesters of Hazlehurst serving as ushers.
Music was rendered by the groom’s niece, Ansley Reagin, and Jonathan Day of Hazlehurst. Jonathan also performed a beautiful vocal/guitar serenade for the couple as they enjoyed their “first dance” after the ceremony while the sun set over the lake and bubbles, generated by surrounding well-wishers, floated in the air around them. After this special dance, guests enjoyed a reception at the Baxley Lake Mayers Lodge.
