Christine Juanita Perry
Christine Juanita Perry, daughter of the late York and Cora Reynolds and Ozie Baker entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 6, 2011. She was born August 10, 1934 in Glennwood, Wheeler County. Christine was united in marriage to the late Daniel L. Perry in Bacon County.
Later, Christine and Daniel moved to Baxley, where she became a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. It was there she gave her life to the Lord. Christine answered the call of ministry and served as a missionary for several years. She later moved her membership to First Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church and served as a church mother until the Lord called her home.
She enjoyed the hobby of crocheting. One of her special gifts was her love and concern for everyone that she met.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel L. Perry of Hawkinsville, Ricky Perry, Jimmy Perry and Marvin Perry; daughters, Isabell (Oliver) Williams, Peggy Fletcher, Tenny Bell Lemon and Evelyn Jackson, Joanne Paulk (raised as a daughter); four sons-in-law, three daughters-in-law, 21 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren; seven sisters, Arlee Moore, Minnis Jordan of Hartford, CT, Jannie Reynolds, Mattie Fedrick, Helen (James) Swinson of Douglas, Claretha (Tommy) Rogers, Christine (Gus) Walker, Brenda (Chorice) Harris (raised as a sister) and two brothers, York Reynolds, Jr. of Hartford, CT and Bert Baker; two special friends, Queen Kitchen and Rebecca Ogden. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jerry Baker and one grandson, Daniel L. Perry.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 14 at First Pleasant Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Fedrick officiating.
Active pallbearers were Vincent Jordan, Michael Fletcher, Tracy Floy, Donnie Jordan, Barry Burch, Lorenza Fedrick and Demetrius Wooten.
Musical selections were rendered by the Edwards Family, children and grandchildren, Daniel and company and Gwen Ryals.
Arrangements were entrusted to King Brothers Funeral Home of Hazlehurst.

Ma Perry will be missed greatly. My kids pass by sometimes and say they want to go see her. I tell them she's gone on with the Lord and thats she's up there with their Dad the late (Daniel L. Perry ) her grandson. We, Amy, Lil'Daniel, and Kimberly Perry love and miss you Ma Perry !I know if My Hubby Daniel was here he would've wrote something great about her. Take care of him and your grandson up there. Mmmmmmuah !
