The following are highlights of incidents that were handled by officers of the Baxley Police Department over the past several days.
On May 28 at approx. 9:38 a.m., answered a call to Heritage Bank in reference to forged checks. On arrival officers met with a complainant who told them that a person had been cashing checks on his account. After an investigation arrest warrants were secured for the arrest of Loren Lewis Evans, 51, of Baxley, charging him with five counts of forgery in the fourth degree. Evans has been entered on the GCIC computer as wanted. Anyone knowing his whereabouts is urged to contact the nearest law enforcement agency.
