Timothy “Tim” Flood, 69, of Baxley, died Sunday, June 8, 2014, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro.Flood was born June 15, 1944, in Barberton, Ohio, to the late Kenneth and Ruth Flood. He was self employed as a construction supervisor. He was a member of Satilla Baptist Church and he was a Gideon.
Survivors include his spouse, Polly Flood of Baxley; three daughters, Cathy (Stacy) Williams, Kelli (Dennis) Richey, Sephy (Paul) Rentz, all of Baxley; one son Jimmy (Angela) Flood of Albany; three sisters, Carol Loguidice, Jean Wiedeman, and Becky Pataki, all of Wadsworth, Ohio. He is also survived by six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 11 at 11:00 a.m. from Satilla Baptist Church with the Rev. Tommy Davis and the Rev. Ron Ross officiating. Interment followed in Miles Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Randall Odum, Henry Crosby, Aubrey Lynch, Rocky Courson, J. F. Griffin, Clifton Mincey, and Jerry Johnson.
Honorary pallbearers were all friends in attendance.
Musical selections were rendered by Tammy Nix and Elaine Black Edwards.
