Rep. Morris has served 16 years in the state legislature and also serves on a number of House committees including chairing the Banks and Banking Committee, and also serves on the Appropriations, Rules and Natural Resources committees. Appling County is now split into two districts in the House of Representatives with Morris serving the northern area of the county and Representative Chad Nimmer serving the citizens in the southern part of the county. Morris will face off against newcomer Lee Burton in the upcoming May 20 Primary Election.
