The City of Baxley will hold a Called Meeting on May 6, 2014, at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall located at 282 E. Parker Street, Baxley, Georgia. The primary purpose of the Called Meeting is a Public Hearing as well as any other business that may come before the Mayor and Council. The Public Hearing will offer opportunities for comments on an application for annexation on the proposed zoning Business(B-2), for property owned by Edgar Woody Folsom located at 1633 Golden Isle West. Legal description as follows:
All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in Land Lots No. 343, 330 and 331 of the Second Land District of Appling County, Georgia, consisting of 26.422 acres, more or less, being more particularly described as follows: BEGINNING at a point located on the southern right of way of U.S. Highway 341/S.R. 27 (100’ ROW) which point is located North 75º 15’ 31” West a distance of 395.93 feet from the westernmost nail of two nails at the approximate intersection of the centerline of said U.S. Highway 341 and the extended centerline of Doris Street, as shown on the hereinbelow referred to plat of survey; thence South 00º 03’ 09” East 481.08 feet to a point on the northern right of way of Norfolk Southern Railway (150’ ROW); thence along and with said railroad right of way North 68º 03’ 23” West 2,693.18 feet to a point; thence North 20º 40’ 23” East 433.26 feet to a point on the southern right of way of the aforesaid U.S. Highway 341; thence along and with said highway right of way South 67º 59’ 37” East 979.86 feet to a
point; thence following the change in said right of way North 21º 59’ 47” East 15 feet to a point; thence continuing along and with said highway right of way South 68º 01’ 06” East 1,542.73 feet to the Point of Beginning.
