Many of you know that The News-Banner is a strong advocate for making informed decisions when voters go to the polls and cast votes. People have often questioned, “How do we make informed decisions on national and state candidates?”
Here is your opportunity.
Voters anywhere in the state will get a chance to see and hear candidates in the top contested primaries debate in a series, organized by the Atlanta Press Club, that will be televised by Georgia Public Broadcasting. The debates will begin on May 11 with Republicans in the 10th Congressional District at 5:00 p.m. followed by GOP candidates vying for the 12th Congressional District at 6:00 p.m. The following is a listing of the debates scheduled to take place on
April 29, May 11, May 12 May 14 and May 18:
- April 29: 7 p.m. - Public Service Commission, Republicans
- May 18: 5 p.m. - 11th District, Republicans, 6 p.m. - Superintendent of Schools, Republicans, 7 p.m. - Superintendent of Schools, Democrats
