Peace Officers Day set for Thursday

The 2011 Georgia Peace Officers Memorial Day Ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the Appling County Law Enforcement Center/Jail. The ceremony will pay tribute to all Georgia peace officers who were killed in the line of duty during 2010.

The keynote speaker for the event will be Capt. William L. Hires. The public is invited to attend.
