Gloria Williamson of Patterson announces the engagement and approaching marriage of her daughter, Joy Williamson of Patterson, to Josh Browning of Odum, son of Brenda Browning of Odum and Johnny Browning of Screven.
The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Carlie Williamson of Patterson.
Her maternal grandparents are the late Gerald and Leola Gority of Patterson. Her paternal grandparents are Carl Williamson, Sr. and the late Virginia Williamson of Patterson. She is a graduate of Pierce County High School and of Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn., where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science. She is scheduled to graduate in June from South University in Savannah as a Physical Therapist Assistant.
Joy is employed by Sheffield’s Sport Shop and at Can Do Physical Therapy, Inc. of Jesup.
The bridegroom elect’s maternal grandparents are the late Marvin and Helen Elkins of Townsend. His paternal grandparents are Henry and Gladys Browning of Yulee, Fla. He is a graduate of Wayne County High School. Josh is employed by Fastening Solutions Inc. of Richmond Hill.
The ceremony is scheduled for May 14 at 2:00 p.m. at Unity Church of God, Jesup. Friends and relatives are invited. No local invitations will be sent. A reception will follow in the church social hall.
