National Day of Prayer observed in Appling
On Thursday, May 5, citizens gathered at the Appling County Annex building for the annual National Day of Prayer. Local officials and pastors prayed over the government, schools, families and other important areas within our country, state and community.
Shown above are attendees at the annual event in prayer and on the right is Brandi Harvey, worship leader at First Methodist Church, singing God Bless America. On Saturday, the annual Walk for Jesus was held in Baxley. Those in attendance at this event walked from the Old Junior High School to the Baxley Church of God, stopping along the route to pray over a number of important issues.
