Azariah Jeremiah Stone died January 7, 2011. Azariah was born July 3, 2007 to Rosby B. Stone, Sr. and Shirley Jackson of Baxley. Azariah was a good child and he was a “sweet baby.” He loved to play football and with his power wheel toy. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Mozell Stone, Buddy Banks and Tommy Lee Jackson.
In addition to his loving parents his siblings, India Jackson, Shamiah Stone and Rosby Stone, Jr, also survive him. Other survivors include his grandmother, Betty Jackson of Baxley; aunts, Rose Jackson of Arcadia, FL, Tranethia Jackson of Baxley, Katina (James) Ingram of Jesup, Sarah (Ricky) Jackson and Cora Lee Vann, both of Baxley, Blancher (Charlie) Jones, Sabrina (Larry) Huff, Gloria (Barry) Banks, Regina (Brian) Foster, all of Starks, Fla.; uncles, Michael (Yvette) Freeman and John (Linda) Sailem, both of Baxley, Lamar (Nicole) Jackson of Bristol and William Banks of Starks, Fla.; and a host of great-aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. January 15 at New Jerusalem Holiness Unto the Lord with Pastor Sarah Ruth Mims officiating. Interment followed in Old Field Memorial Gardens.
Active pallbearers were James Robinson, Joseph Freeman, Kendall King, Jawan Ingram, William Banks and Stanford King.
Honorary pallbearers were Jimmy Coates, Lamar Jackson, Hubert Mims, Michael Freeman, Ronnie Mims and Venus Mims.
Musical selections were rendered by Melvin and the AllStars, Tammy Richburg and Tina Crayton.
Arrangements were under the direction of Baxley Funeral Home.
