Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst announces the funeral service for Eula Mae Yarbrough, 84, of Hazlehurst, who passed away Friday, December 13, 2013. Mrs. Yarbrough was born in Jeff Davis County. She was the daughter of the late Ed Varnadore and Evelyn Cain. Eula Mae was a retired textile inspector and was a member of the Northgate Baptist Church in Hazlehurst.
Ms. Yarbrough was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Odis Yarbrough and a daughter, Helen Yarbrough Beecher.
Survivors include one son, James Yarbrough and his wife, Dianne, of Richmond Hill; one son-in-law, L. C. Beecher of Brunswick; two brothers, Dick and Raymond Varnadore, both of Winter Haven, FL; four sisters, Bea Wilkes and Mildred Watson, both of Winter Haven, FL, Ruby Roberts of Nashville, TN and Merlene Scarboro of Kentucky; one grandchild, Jamie Yarbrough and one great grandchild, Jayten Yarbrough and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16 in the chapel of Miles Funeral Home in Hazlehurst. The Reverend Virginia Herrington officiated with burial in Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Steve Land, Dale Smith, Donnie Shumans, Roy Beecher, James Lewis and Kelly Chancey.
Honorary pallbearers were staff of Hospice of South GA, Beverly Johnson, and Joan and Emery Lee.
Music was rendered by Jeffery Spell.
