Mack Otis Thomas
Mack Otis Thomas, 65, of Baxley, died Wednesday night (January 19, 2011) at Community Hospice in Vidalia after an extended illness. Mr. Thomas was born in Jesup and his parents were Melvin and Ella Mae Wasdin Thomas. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Nola Mae Lee and a brother, Carroll Thomas. Mack served in the United States Army and was a farmer. He also enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Wendy Thomas of Baxley; a daughter, Michelle Thomas of Baxley; a grandchild, Michaelin Thomas of Baxley; a special friend, Chanda Bell of Baxley and also several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service was held Saturday morning (January 22, 2011) at 11:00 a.m. at Lake Chapel Church Cemetery in Patterson with the Rev. Andrew Kersey officiating. Visitation was held 30 minutes prior to the service at the cemetery.
Arrangements were with Frye Funeral Home of Nahunta.
