Helen Milner Osborne, 100, of Lake City, Florida, died Tuesday afternoon (October 15, 2013), in Baxley, at The Pavilion.
She was born in Zebulon, to the late John Holmes Milner and Bessie Cannafax Milner and had lived in Sanford, Florida prior to moving to Lake City in 1989. She was predeceased by her husband of 73 years, Homer Lee Osborne. She was a member of Parkview Baptist Church, Lake City.
Mrs. Osborne is survived by one son, William Milner Osborne (Jan), Lake City, Florida; one daughter, Jane Osborne Morris, Baxley; five grandchildren, Terri Millikin (Mike), Steve Osborne, (Debbie) and Sam Osborne, all of Lake City, Florida, Pam DeWitt (Randy), of Jacksonville, Florida and Michael Morris (Dessa), Monroe. Nine great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren and one sister, Ruth Housch, Oneonta, Alabama also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Osborne were conducted at 11:00 a.m., October 21 at Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Mike Tatum, pastor of Parkview Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Dr. Pete Sharber of Albany officiating.
Visitation with the family was held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Gateway-Forest Lawn Funeral Home of Lake City, Florida.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
