Jena’s wedding gown was created by combining the dresses of her mother and step-mother. Mrs. Sunny Cox of Rome, was the designer. The lace bodice of her mother’s gown was altered from off the shoulder to a sweetheart neckline accented with original pearl trim. The pleated belt was created from the satin skirt of her mother’s gown. Jena’s fit and flared skirt was originally an A-line skirt from her stepmother’s dress, The skirt was accented by original lace panels featuring pearls that the groom’s mother had hand sewn onto the design of the lace. The stepmother’s mantilla cathedral-length veil was held in place by an heirloom pearl barrette. Jena carried a hand-tied bouquet of blush pink roses. In tradition Jena’s something old was her wedding gown, something new were her shoes and earrings, something borrowed was her grandmother’s onyx ring, and her something blue was a brooch that belonged to her great-great-grandmother, that was put into her bouquet.
