Three Appling County Recreation Department All-star teams will be entering State Playoffs this week including the Junior Boys, Midget Girls and Mini-Mite Boys.
Appling Junior Boys win District Championship
The Appling County Recreation Department’s Junior Boys All-star team was crowned the Georgia Recreation and Park Association’s (GRPA) District II Champions in Hazlehurst after playing strong baseball June 21 - 26. The team will now advance to the GRPA State Tournament to be held in Adel this week, Tuesday through Thursday. Mini-Mite All-stars State bound
The Appling County Recreation Department’s Mini-Mite (Flea Boys) All-stars won the Georgia Recreation and Park District II Championship on June 26 in Hazlehurst. The team played hard throughout the tournament and beat a hard-hitting Pooler team to capture the crown. The team will enter the State Playoffs, also to be held in Hazlehurst, this week on June 10 - 13. Midget Girls to host State Playoffs
The Appling County Recreation Department’s Midget Girls All-stars will be headed to the Georgia Recreation and Park Association’s State Championship this week, and the playoffs will be hosted in Baxley. The tournament will be held on July 10 - 13 at the Appling County Recreation Complex located on County Farm Road. Team members include, bottom row, l-r, Bryce Peacock and Halee Leggett.
