The City of Baxley will hold a called meeting on July 23, 2013, at 6:00 P.M. at City Hall located at 282 E. Parker Street, Baxley, Ga. The primary purpose of the called meeting is a public hearing as well as any other business that may come before the Mayor and Council. The public hearing will offer opportunities for any comments on an application for zoning amendment as follows:
(1) Application for zoning amendment filed by Carolyn Hutto/Executrix Wayne Yawn requesting the property located at 527 W. Parker Street be rezoned from the present Residential(RM-10) Zone to a Business(B-2) Zone.
Legal description of property as follows:
All that tract or parcel of land lying and being in the City of Baxley, Appling County, Georgia, consisting of Subdivision Lot No. 1, Block A, of what is known as Barber’s Heights Subdivision, a plat of which said subdivision is of record in Office of Clerk of Superior Court, said County, Plat Book No. 1, page 37. This subdivision lot was conveyed from R.E. Jarman & Sons to R. O. Rogers by deed dated May 1, 1968, recorded deed book 132, page 319, of the deed records of said County.
