Larry Hallman
Larry Hallman, 67, died April 16, 2011. Larry was born Oct. 21, 1943 to Luther Wade Hallman and Cathleen Moody Hallman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Baxley and was retired from Hallman Body Shop. Larry was a lifelong resident of Appling County.
Survivors include his wife, Rebecca Hallman of Baxley; two daughters, Holly Hallman of Baxley and Paula Diane (Jeffery) Bell of Bristol; one son, Shelby (Leigh) Hallman of Reidsville; his mother, Cathleen Moody Hallman of Baxley; one sister, Janice (Danny) Jernigan of North Augusta, S.C. and two brothers, Jerry (Brenda) Hallman and Tony (Penny) Hallman of Baxley; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 19 in the chapel of Swain Funeral Home with the Revs. Paula Bell, Ronnie Rentz and Phillip O’Steen officiating.
Active pallbearers were Jeffrey Bell, Johnathan Hallman, Tony Carter, Dan Jernigan, Jeremy Hallman and Shane Youmans.
Honorary pallbearers were Friends of Moody Swamp, special friends, Dale Davis, Mike Beasley, Earl Carter and Patsy Baxley.
Musical selections were rendered by Sandra Nettles.
Memorials may be made to Southern Care Hospice of Vidalia.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
