Ronnie “Bo Cefus” Courson, 58, of Hazlehurst, died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at his residence. Courson was born Aug. 25, 1954 in Tampa, FL to the late James Leon Courson and the late Evelyn Irene Creamer Courson. He had resided in Jeff Davis County for the past 30 years and was employed with Williams Brothers Trucking. Ronnie was preceded in death by his sister, Eve Beth Courson and a brother, James Tommy Courson.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Kristie (Richard McKinney) Griffin and Tara (Ryan) Thompson, all of Hazlehurst; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronald Leon (Misty) Courson, Jr. and Billy James (Lindsey Driggers) Courson of Baxley; two brothers, Danny Courson of Hazlehurst and Dewayne Courson of Augusta; 12 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29 from Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Randy Rowell officiating. Interment followed in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Dennis Carter, Greg Toler, Wade Watts, Jeff Johns, James Hughes and Lance Partin.
Honorary pallbearers were all his Williams Brothers Trucking co-workers.
Musical selections were rendered by April Johns.
Arrangements were under the direction of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home of Hazlehurst.
