Virginia Sellers, 82, died Monday, May 27, 2013. Mrs. Sellers was born Jan. 17, 1931 in Appling County to the late Herman Webb and the late Vuena Nail Webb. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church where she served as pianist for forty-four years. Virginia was a member of the Eastern Star for fifty years and was the World’s Greatest Grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Warren Sellers of Baxley; one son and daughter-in-law, Billy Wayne and Linda Sellers of Baxley; two sisters, Lovena Tramell of Forsyth and Bonnie Kilian of Leesburg, FL; three brothers, James Webb of Hiawassee, Joseph Webb of Ball Ground and Don Webb of Baxley; three grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Virginia Sellers were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 30 at Midway Baptist Church with the Reverends Wayne Williamson, Michael Beecher and Marty Anderson officiating. Interment followed in church cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Harry Webb, Sonny Trammell, Jimmy Webb, Don Mark Webb, Davy Webb, Jason Sellers and Kasey Kersey.
Honorary pallbearers were Ladies Sunday School Class of Midway Baptist Church, Sandy Carter Sapp, Robin Mixon, Mary Wallace, Francine Youngblood, Misty Hall, Elizabeth Ahl, Tara Carter, JoAnn Beecher, Mary Burns, Emma Branch and the staff of the Pavilion.
Musical selections were rendered by Glen and Sherry Beach, Jeanne Spell and Valarie Brannen.
