Lindsey Johnson more often than not tends to make a great first impression. Not only a standout academic student and a member of the Palm Beach Atlantic University Honors College as a first-year student-athlete, Johnson impressed opposing teams’ coaches this season with her incredible play on the softball diamond. For her efforts, Johnson was named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-American third-team. Johnson was earlier recognized by being named the first-ever PBA player to be selected to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Region first-team.
The NFCA All-American selection for Johnson is the first for any player in the NCAA-era of Palm Beach Atlantic softball. Johnson was the only outfielder selected to the All-American third-team while being one of seven players from the always-competitive NCAA Division II South Region to be named to the prestigious listing.
