The following are highlights of incidents that were handled by officers of the Baxley Police Department over the past several days.
April 18 at approximately 1:50 p.m., met with a resident at an Anthony Street address in reference to a burglary. On arrival the resident told officers that person(s) unknown had entered her home and removed two DeWalt drills, one vacuum cleaner and a pair of men’s Timberlines along with a box of girl’s clothes. Investigation revealed that entry was made through a side window.
April 20 at approx. 10:30 a.m., answered a call to Pine Lodge Motel in reference to a fight. On arrival the officers spoke with the complainant who told them she had got into an argument with an acquaintance and it turned physical. During the investigation of the incident a quantity of marijuana was seized from the room. Arrested in connection with this incident was Crystal Charmaine Patchen, 32, and Floyd Pitts, 42, both of Baxley, and both on charges of possession of marijuana and disorderly conduct under the family violence act.
