Lannie Dwight Pearce, 58, died May 17, 2013 in Savannah. Lannie Dwight was the son of the late Manning and Dolly Pearce. He was a member of Spring Branch Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Holmesville Masonic Lodge 195, Jesup Shrine Club- Hillbilly Unit and Misfit Unit. Lannie Dwight enjoyed his guitar and riding his ATV. He was a lifelong resident of Appling County.
Survivors include four daughters, Samantha Stoddard of Jesup, Joanna (Jesse) Ibbara of California, Karen (Saul) Weichbrodt of Florida and Kim (Chris) Gross of Florida; one son, Anthony (Victoria) Pearce of Baxley; three sisters, Gail (Matt) Rushing, Glenda (Joe) Wykle and Debbie Pearce, all of Baxley; one brother, Edward (Jeanette) Pearce of Baxley and 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 20 at Swain Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bryan Gill officiating. Interment followed in Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery with Masonic Rights.
Active pallbearers were Cody Daniels, Sean Daniels, Kaleb Daniels, Jason Pearce, Timmy Davis and Joseph Switzer.
Honorary pallbearers were Holmesville Masonic Lodge 195, Jesup Shrine Club, Rodney and Debbie Carter, Steve Switzer, Kelvin Fennell and Butch and Denise Wood.
Musical selections were rendered by the Reverend Bryan Gill and JoAnne Switzer.
Arrangements were under the directions of Swain Funeral Home.
