Flags were flown at half-staff May 16 to mark Peace Officers Memorial Day, a day set aside to honor local, state and federal law enforcement officers killed or disabled in the line of duty. Law enforcement officers, government and community leaders and citizens gathered in Baxley on May 16 to remember the peace officers that died in the line of duty.
Pictured above are officers placing a wreath in honor of those that have fallen in the line of duty.
