Rozell Paulk was born Nov. 18, 1962 to the late Melvin Paulk Sr. and the late Elmina Paulk in Baxley. He joined First Pleasant Hill Baptist Church at an early age. He attended school in Appling County. He met and married Ophelia Paulk of Hazlehurst. He was employed with Rayonier/Interfor here in Baxley.
Rozell loved to read and discuss the word of God. He would read his Bible daily on his job before he went in to work. He was respectful, dependable, and very friendly and often spoke with good wisdom. Rozell was a hard working man who would help others in need. When he gave you his word he meant it. He loved to laugh, kid around and have fun. He was a joyful person who shared that joy with others constantly. Rozell was a fantastic cook and he loved to fish.
Rozell loved to make his wife smile. He often said, “I love to make my wife smile because she has such a beautiful smile.” Some of us will never forget Rozell and a portion of his life he shared with us.
On March 30, 2013 God called Rozell home. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Alonda Howell, and his Sandra Dent; two brothers, Lester Paulk and Milton Paulk.
