Ginger Louise Harris, 42, passed away early Wednesday morning, April 3, 2013, at the Pierce County Nursing Home following a long illness.
Born in Baxley on December 12, 1970, she had lived in Appling County all of her life. She attended the Piney Grove Baptist Church. The excellent care Ginger received and God’s amazing grace allowed her to touch many lives during her short life. The family would like to thank all of Ginger’s friends, neighbors and caregivers for taking such good care of her over the years. She was loved by everyone who knew her and will always be her daddy’s little girl.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Peggy Mobley Harris.
Survivors include her father, John Harris of Bristol; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Stan and Misty Harris and Steven and Melissa Harris all of Bristol and Rufus and Chrissy Harris of Baxley; her paternal grandmother, Louise Hilton Harris of Bristol; two nephews, Samuel Jackson Harris and Braxton Henderson Harris; four nieces, Sarah Grace Harris, Whitney Briann Harris, Morgan Lane Harris and Grayson Mobley Harris; and several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Ginger were held Friday afternoon, April 5, 2013, at 3:00 at the Piney Grove Baptist Church.
Interment was in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
Visitation was held at the church one hour prior to the service.
Honorary pallbearers were the staff, nurses and aides of the Pierce County Nursing Home and the staff of The Sunshine Center in Baxley as well as Dr. Don Waters.
