For weeks this newspaper has been promoting something new, fresh and exciting is coming. Today, we can now tell you what we’ve created.
The Baxley News-Banner is excited to announce the newspaper will be unveiling a new website this week. The new site is expected to go live Wednesday and hosts a number of new user-friendly features.
The most dynamic new feature will be video and the capability to produce video news reports. The newspaper will also be introducing the all-new Baxley News Channel, a multi-weekly news broadcast. News-Banner newcomer Cameron Harrelson will anchor the news broadcast, which will be produced two to three times each week.
“This is an idea that we have had for several years,” said Editor and Publisher Jamie Gardner about adding video to the website. “The problem in implementing this idea has been finding that perfect fit with technology and having the right personnel in place. We found that through a new partnership with Steve Cromer and his company, News in the Cloud, the company assisting us with the redesign of the website, and with Cameron, who at only 16, brings a wealth of knowledge about video to the table. This has been a perfect match for our company and I know the public is going to love all the new features offered through the website. Get ready to smile, because you could be on camera.”
The News-Banner invites readers to check out all the new features on the website located at www.baxleynewsbanner.com this week. More features will be brought online in the coming days and weeks.
