President Lincoln believed whole-heartedly in the Constitution of the United States of America. Through your policies, rules and regulations, it is evident you have no right to compare yourself to President Lincoln. You talk about what Lincoln did, but as the President you not only do not believe in our Constitution, but you continuously try to circumvent it. We are not and were never established to be the socialistic society you desire to make us into. To claim to be an expert in the constitution, you certainly don’t seem to realize or understand what it is all about. It is NOT a document that has outlived its usefulness and purpose as many of your toadies and possibly you have declared it to be.
It would be wonderfully refreshing if you would be truthful to the people of America. I believe it is okay to change your mind about a position or belief, but you have done an about face on too many things for it to be just change of mind or beliefs. I have come to the conclusion that if you mouth is moving you are telling a falsehood. You have no concept of reality or truth. I pray for your eternal soul regarding these matters.
Getting back to President Lincoln’s fiscal legacy, please read #9 very carefully and think about what he is saying. You cannot keep people on welfare and survive as a nation. Look at what is happening to Greece now, and Europe is quickly following suit. You say you are a Christian, and I do pray that you do know Jesus Christ as your personal saviour, but do you know God’s Word? I mean know it, not just quote (and incorrectly by the way) what someone else may have told you. If you do, then you know II Thessalonians 3:10 states “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.” This is not being cruel, but is encouraging self-reliance, hard work and pride in your own capabilities and provisions for yourself and your family. Should our government of the people, by the people and for the people expect any less from any of us.
I don’t know if undermining the Constitution of the United States is an impeachable offence or not. If it isn’t, it certainly should be. You took an oath to uphold the Constitution and you obviously are not doing so.
Regarding your policy and belief that you are going to make everyone’s life good by taking from one (the rich and those working hard to make a decent living for their family) and giving to another (those deemed by the government as poor, including those that just want handouts and don’t want to work). I again ask you to go to God’s Word. Deuteronomy 15:11, Matthew 26:11; Mark 14:7 and John 12:8, all state that the poor will always be with us. Deuteronomy and Mark also state WE, THE PEOPLE and THE CHURCH are to help and do good for them, NOT THE GOVERNMENT.
I also think you might sit down with Dr. Benjamin Carson and take a lesson from his playbook, he has got it right.
President Obama, you have been given a sacred trust from the people. I know you feel the majority are in agreement with you, but the majority is not as big as you may think. YOU have a mandate to do the very best you can for America and for ALL her people, not just a select number who may be in agreement with your current policies. America IS a very SPECIAL nation and her legacy is more important than your legacy. I pray my grandchildren will be able to look with pride on you and your legacy, not in disgrace at an impoverished nation that has been raped by her leaders.
I wrote a letter to President Reagan and received an answer, so as the most transparent White House in history, according to you, I look forward to a written answer from you, not a standard form letter. I would appreciate hearing what you have to say on what I am seeing and hearing coming from this White House and my comments on these policies. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Thomas J. Anderson
LINCOLN’S FISCAL LEGACY!
You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than your income.
You cannot help the poor man by destroying the rich.
You cannot establish security on borrowed money.
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot lift the wage-earner by pulling down the wage-payer.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot help small men by tearing down the big man.
You cannot build character and courage by taking away man’s initiative and independence.
You cannot help man permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
We owe much to Abraham Lincoln, whose birthday we celebrate February 12. The ten guidelines written by him are basic principles of economics and sound financial policy.
