Sheppard and White to exchange vows April 30
Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Sheppard, Jr. of Sylvania, are pleased to announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter Hayley Lynn Sheppard, to Perry Gibbs White, son of Mr. and Mrs. William White of Pearson.
The bride-elect is the maternal granddaughter of Mrs. Deloris Grooms of Sylvania and the late Wilton Grooms and the paternal granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lindy Sheppard, Sr.
A graduate of Screven County High School in 2005, she received an associate’s degree in special education from ABAC in 2007. She graduated cum laude from Valdosta State University in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in communication sciences and disorders. She received her master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from Valdosta State University in 2010. Hayley is employed as a speech pathologist with the Appling County School System.
The groom-elect is the maternal grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Gibbs of Moultrie and the paternal grandson of Mrs. Doris White of Pearson and the late James Owen White, Jr.
A graduate of Atkinson County High School in 2004, he received an associate’s degree in agriculture business from ABAC in 2007. He graduated from the University of Georgia in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in agriscience and environmental systems. Perry is employed as a loan officer with Ag South Farm Credit in Baxley.
The wedding will be held on April 30, at 5:00 p.m. at Middle Ground Baptist Church in Sylvania with a reception to follow at Shannon Vineyards.
