Linda Courson Fowler, 69, of Yulee, Florida, died Monday, April 4, 2011 at Baptist Medical Center in Nassau, FL. Linda was born July 31, 1941 in Appling County to the late Monroe Williams Courson and the late Laura Hardwick Courson. She was a member of Black Rock Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Ferman Roger Fowler of Yulee, FL; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Steve Lorant of Pace, FL; one son and daughter-in-law, Preston William and Julie Fowler of Jesup; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Velma and Ronald Mumford, Janice and Billy Miles, Catherine and Lake Carter and Patricia and the late Stanley Scarborough, all of Baxley; two brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Claudia Courson of Baxley and Wayne and Jonell Courson of Canton; one sister-in-law, Cindy (Tommy) Gray of Fernandina Beach, FL; and grandchildren: Taylor Fowler, Briann Fowler, Geoffrey Fowler, Tyler Stone, Tiffany Lorant and Samantha Lorant.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7 at Asbury United Methodist Church with the Rev. Michael S. Bowen officiating. Active pallbearers were Bayne Carter, Robbie Courson, Monroe Courson, Daniel Rentz, Jessie Weaver and Mickey Morris.
Musical selections were rendered by Debra Johnson and Joanne Switzer.
Arrangements were under the direction of Swain Funeral Home.
