A.C. Primary School to host Scholastic Book Fair
Appling County Primary School will host a Scholastic Book Fair on Friday, February 1, and Monday – Friday, February 4-8. The Book Fair will be open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and will be located in the school’s media center. Funds raised will benefit the school and help purchase books for the media center.
This year’s Scholastic Book Fair theme – Story Laboratory: Reading Gives You Super Power! is part of an incredible energy source for reading that brings to school a wonderful selection of fun, engaging, and affordable books kids want to read. Giving kids access to good books and the opportunity to choose their own books motivate them to read more. And like most acquired skills, the more kids practice reading, the better they will get.
The Book Fair offers specially priced books and educational products, including popular series, award-winning titles, new releases, adult bestsellers, and other great reads from more than 100 publishers. Book Fair customers may help the school build classroom libraries by purchasing books through the Classroom Wish List program.
ACPS Principal Brenda Harvey and the school media committee cordially invite students, families and the community to attend this fun reading event that helps inspire children to become lifelong readers. The Book Fair is also available online at www.scholastic.com/fair for an extended time from January 26, to February 15.
