Flu vaccine is still available at your county health department. The cost is $25.00.
The Southeast Health District is encouraging any person six months old or older to get vaccinated. Because it can take two weeks to develop full immunity after receiving the flu vaccine, Public Health officials urge residents to get it now.
“People are testing positive for flu, and we are still seeing flu-like symptoms all over the state of Georgia,” said Dr. Rosemarie Parks, Southeast Health District Medical Director. “We encourage residents who have not been vaccinated to go to the health department and get a shot today.”
