Gun Control – such a senseless an idea

Gun or guns – a man made device used to fire a projectile at a high rate of speed – fired one at a time or in quick succession. In other words it is a mechanical constructed object or weapon.

There are all types of guns – starting from an old single-shot flint lock muzzle loader to a machine gun firing 3,000 rounds a minute, all of which are man-made mechanical (remind you of this), many kinds of pistols which are handheld, and rifles or long guns, which are carried by a shoulder strap or carried across the shoulder or cradled in the crooked arm. Remember a human has to carry these guns or rifles in their hands.

I watched most all of the shootings on T.V. and listened to the reports. As you know or some you think these guns went out and killed men, women, and children and caused chaos and worry throughout the United States. Has anyone seen an assault rifle or pistol floating around out there shooting at random? Does anyone know of any rifle or pistol that can do this? Do you remember the movie League of Extraordinary Gentlemen; well there was a trench coat and hat just floating around, very-neat right? Well have you seen any rifles or pistols doing this? No and you wont either.

Now, every shooting episode that was carried out, some mentally sick boy, man, was holding the mechanical rifle or pistol and that is what is doing the killing, the person holding the weapons. In most all shootings the shooter killed himself or was shot by law enforcement officers, after the fact we find out the shooter had a mental problem or was from a broken home, mistreated in some way; very smart and had unusual behavior, loner, withdrawn, and did not fit into the crowd.

Now, it is time for us the people to put our sick mentally unstable loved ones in a facility, so they cannot do anyone harm to anyone or themselves. Until we wake up and realize we have loved ones, teenagers, adults, out there that will kill you dead. They do not have to have a reason now just to be seen or noticed, cannot get their way, on restriction, take away their cell phone, and take away their video games and on and on. You as parents are probably experiencing this now. Come on now admit it. It is time we thought about someone else and not the loved one we love so. In every shooting there was a person that had some mental issues. If he had been hospitalized where he could get some help, maybe this would have been prevented. It is not going to be easy, but we need to do something for them, until we really see the problem then we lose.

There was a young man that liked to drink and drive, finally he got stopped and jailed. When he got out of jail he had to wear a leg bracelet for 120 days. For 120 days, he was a good boy at work and was at home by 9:00. He was monitored daily and he did not like it. But today (two years later) he does not drink and drive. Thank you for leg bracelets.

Please help in this gun control debate. Call your congressman, senator, and governor. It is high time we started making calls to all branches of government and let them know how we feel. Most certainly we need to defend our constitution.

As for the people that are in public office hollering gun control – well you no their job has some high risk. Its time you started doing your job and protecting our constitution not tear it down.

There are a lot of things to stop useless killings when a crime is committed – then there should be a punishment - real punishment, not a slap on the wrist because of money and lawyers.
