Appling County Branch NAACP announces events for January and February
The Appling County Branch NAACP proudly announces that the Grand Marshal Program will be on Friday, Jan. 18 at 6:00 p.m. at St. John Church of God in Christ on Phillip Street. The Grand Marshal is Mrs. Drissie Mae Howard Williams.
The theme is “Making the Dream a Reality”.
The MLK Parade will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 3:00 p.m. Line-up will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the Parker-Harrell Building on Junior High Drive. The Savannah State University Marching Tiger Band will be performing.
The Black History Banquet is planned for Saturday, Feb. 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Elementary Complex. The speaker will be State Representative Tyrone Brooks.
