The Appling County Branch NAACP proudly announces the events for January and February. The theme is, “Making the Dream a Reality.”
The January events will be The Grand Marshal program on Friday, Jan. 18 at 6:00 p.m. at St. John Church of God in Christ on Phillip Street. The grand marshal is Mrs. Drissie Mae Howard Williams.
The MLK Parade will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19 at 3:00 p.m. Line-up at 2:00 p.m. at the Parker-Harrell Building on Junior High Drive. The Savannah State University Marching Tiger Band will be performing.
The February event will be the Black History Banquet on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 7:00 p.m. at the Elementary Complex. The speaker will be State Representative Tyrone Brooks.
