The Appling County Lady Eagles (3-0 overall) basketball team started the season against Bible Baptist, non-varsity opponent, winning 50-3. Leading scorers for the Lady Eagles were Deanna Johnson 10 points, Lauren Beasley six points, Ambrasis Mims six points, Bethany Rivers six points, Victoria Cox four points, Sarah Dhaliwal four points, Alyssa Livingston four points, Samantha Mims four points, Sarah Wade four points and Sarah Brock two points. Leading the team with four assists were Beasley, Cox and Livingston. Leading rebounder was Johnson with eight.
The Lady Eagles next game was against Byne Christian on November 20 with the Lady Eagles winning 54-20. Leading the scoring was Cox 16 points, Rivers 10 points, Livingston eight points, Beasley six points, Johnson six points, Brock four points, Maci McCall two points and Wade two points. Beasley lead the team with eight assists with Rivers leading with 10 rebounds.
The Eagles third game came against Heritage Christian Academy with the Lady Eagles winning 56-14. Leading scorers were Johnson 25 pionts, Cox 15 points, Livingston four points, A. Mims four points, Beasley two points, Dhaliwal two points, S. Mims two points and Rivers two points. Leading the team in assists was Beasley with seven and Johnson leading the team with nine rebounds.
The Lady Eagles are scheduled to face Heritage Christian Academy on Tuesday, December 4 at home.
The Lady Eagles will travel Valdosta to face Open Bible Christian on Friday, December 7 and finish the week in Lyons against Toombs Christian Academy on Saturday, December 8.
