Winter Wonderland will begin immediately after the “Celebration of Lights” Christmas parade and will be open from 6:30-9:00 p.m. and pictures with Santa will be taken from 4:30-6:00 and 6:30-9:00 p.m. All events are free to the public. Activities for this year’s Winter Wonderland include snow and sledding, children’s crafts, marshmallow roasting, fun zone with inflatables, carriage rides, vocal entertainment and trolley rides.

Parade
The Baxley/Appling County Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 19th annual “Celebration of Light” Christmas Parade. Each year local merchants, civic groups, churches, schools and businesses begin designing their float to see who will be the grand prize winner.
The parade will be held Saturday, December 1 at 6:00 p.m. In case of rain, the parade will be rescheduled for Sunday, December 5 at 5:00 p.m. Applications are available at the Chamber of Commerce, 305 West Parker Street. The deadline for parade applications is Thursday, November 29. The entry fee is $20.00.
First, second and third place will be awarded to the winners of the business, industry, schools and civic club winners and also to the church or religious organization winners. Lineup will be from 4:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. with judging at 5:30 p.m.
Make plans now to have an entry in the parade and be in town for the festivities.
