On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I am writing to congratulate Brunswick Judicial Circuit Superior Court Judge Stephen D. Kelley on his appointment by Governor Nathan Deal to serve on the State Commission on Family Violence.
The entire state will benefit from Judge Kelley’s service on the commission, which works with judges, advocates, law enforcement, medical professionals, educators and concerned citizens across the state to develop a coordinated community response to address the problem of family violence in Georgia.

Judge Kelley’s acceptance of this appointment demonstrates his continued commitment to public service, which in turn serves to promote the cause of justice, uphold the rule of law and protect the rights of all citizens. We wish him well in this new position of statewide leadership.
