Marty Davis, 55, of Lincoln, NE, passed away on Sunday, October 21, 2012. Marty was born on Feb. 21, 1957 in Alma, to Martin and Myrtice (Hall) Davis. He was a 1975 graduate of Appling County High School and was currently working for Northwest Electric of Lincoln, NE as Supervisor of Sales for the past 11 years.

Marty was preceded in death by parents, Martin Davis and Myrtice (Davis) Beck; step-father, Melvin Beck; brother, Maryland Davis and two nieces and one nephew.
Survivors include wife, Joan (Black) Davis of Lincoln, NE; two daughters, Nicole Davis of Raleigh, N.C. and Melissa Davis of Omaha, NE; one grandson, Jonathan Davis of Raleigh, N.C.; one granddaughter, Gianna Davis of Omaha, NE; brother and sister-in-law, Mickey and Sue Davis of Baxley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Fred Barfield of Baxley and Melba and Drew Herrington of Baxley and many nieces and nephews also survive.
Memorial services were held Monday, Oct. 29 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Dunn Memorial Baptist Church in Baxley.
Donations may be given to the American Heart Association or The National Kidney Foundation.
