Airport bowling?

Riddle me this. What do bowling balls and an airport have in common? Absolutely nothing. Just a few days back The News-Banner received a call from Baxley City Manager Jeff Baxley and he reported that 17 bowling balls had been discovered at the Baxley Airport.

Shown above is Airport Manager Tyler Beach showing a portion of the balls recovered. The balls were found buried near the old terminal building that was recently demolished to make room for additional ramp space for airplanes. The airport now has a new beautiful terminal and the city is planning to hold an open house soon to show off the new facility.

Ref Bowling balls......I had nothing to do with it...not involved....The old term was up before I took charge!!!! (Airport Mngr #1...circa 1969.
